Every turn, a player draws one card from either the stock pile or the discard pile and at the same time discards an unwanted one. The remaining cards, which don't belong to either are called deadwood. There are two types of melds: runs, which are groups of three or more cards of the same suit in sequence (for example 10, Jack, Queen of diamonds), and sets - three or four cards of the same rank.
Two players face each other, trying to collect groups of cards called 'melds', while discarding the cards that don't fit into them.
Jungle Gin plays a lot like the card game Gin rummy, but this time in a tropical setting.
